Kim Connor, Intero Team Get In The Holiday Giving Spirit

Twelve Intero Real Estate Offices got in the holiday spirit this Christmas by participating in an annual coat drive. The Intero team joins with the One Warm Coat Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in San Francisco in 1992. One Warm Coat consists of donors who give clothes that they no longer use, volunteer leaders who organize coat drives locally, social service agency volunteers who then distribute the coats and finally sponsors who help spread the word about the foundation’s mission.

The Intero coat drive resulted in 1,706 coats, sweaters and sweatshirts donated by generous Intero participants. Also collected were 3 55-gallon bags of miscellaneous clothing as well as 2 bags of new gloves, scarves and caps. The donations were split between three Bay Area organizations: City Team Ministries, InnVision and Sacred Heart Community Center. This is one of the most successful drives Intero has had over the holiday season.

Kim Connor, a top Intero realtor, continued the holiday spirit of giving by joining with Patchen Christmas Trees this Christmas. Kim worked with Jim Beck, the owner of Patchen, and donated 25 trees to elementary schools in light of the recent tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. More than 80% of students at these elementary schools in the Bay Area are living below the poverty level. Kim’s generosity sparked holiday spirit in Jim Beck and he matched the tree donation with 50 Christmas wreaths from Patchen. The generosity and compassion of others this Christmas season touches the lives of those less fortunate and creates a chain reaction of giving, one of the major goals of the One Warm Coat Foundation
